The Midnight Foundation has partnered with OKX Wallet to streamline the Glacier Drop claim process. OKX Wallet users can now seamlessly claim NIGHT by connecting directly to the Glacier Drop claim portal, and signing a verification message in their wallet.
The integration with OKX Wallet provides a direct path for OKX Wallet users to participate in the launch of Midnight and claim the native utility token, NIGHT.
Integrating with one of the world's most widely used self-custody wallets underscores Midnight’s commitment to ensuring broad community access and participation. The ecosystem partnership with OKX Wallet reduces onboarding friction, allowing a large, existing community to participate in a new ecosystem without needing to adopt new tools.
Glacier Drop
Glacier Drop,the first phase of Midnight’s multi-phase token distribution, is already underway, and invites users from eight major blockchain ecosystems to claim NIGHT.
With OKX Wallet now live, participants can connect directly to the claim portal and verify eligibility by signing a simple message inside their wallet.
Eligibility
To qualify for Glacier Drop, users needed to have held at least $100 USD worth of one of the supported assets (ADA, BTC, ETH, SOL, BNB, AVAX, XRP, or BAT) on the snapshot date of June 11, 2025.
Why it matters
Expanding wallet support lower barriers to entry to Glacier Drop and in anticipation of Midnight mainnet launch. The integration of OKX Wallet, a platform with tens of millions of users, provides a direct connection between Glacier Drop and an established and geographically diverse community.
This provides a low-friction pathway for OKX Wallet users to participate, which is another step in cultivating a broad and engaged community from the network's inception. A diverse user base is essential for establishing long-term decentralization and resilience.
