Today at Rare Evo, Fahmi Syed shared our vision of a more private and decentralized future. In his keynote, Fahmi introduced the concept of rational privacy — a new approach where privacy isn't binary, but exists in different shades. This empowers users, developers, and businesses to choose how much privacy they want to disclose. For us, it's about privacy by default, with disclosure by choice — the foundation for secure association, commerce, and expression on-chain.

We know that real-world adoption of blockchain technology can’t happen if privacy is an afterthought. Institutions won’t put sensitive data on a public blockchain for everyone to see, and that’s why our focus is on creating solutions that balance privacy and compliance. Fahmi emphasized that we’re building the future of blockchain where privacy isn’t a challenge to be solved but a core enabler of open participation — for individuals, builders, and organizations alike.

Later, Fahmi was joined by experts Dustin Plett, chief sales officer at Balance, and Sanjeev Birari, co-founder and chief business officer at Zoniqx, in a panel discussion moderated by Aaron Arnold from Altcoin Daily. The panel tackled the often-overlooked relationship between privacy and compliance. They discussed how Midnight’s privacy-first solutions can be integrated into existing blockchain ecosystems, helping institutions meet their regulatory needs without sacrificing user agency or the ability to engage in private, permissionless transactions.

What sets us apart is our commitment to building privacy-first solutions that can work across multiple ecosystems. It’s not about one blockchain over another — it’s about creating a connected, privacy-preserving network that supports the freedoms of association, commerce, and expression, no matter where you build or participate. This approach will ultimately drive broader adoption of decentralized technologies, as Midnight bridges the gap between privacy, compliance, and real-world utility.

As we move forward, our mission is to make rational privacy an integral part of every blockchain interaction, and to build a future where users and businesses can engage securely and confidently — knowing their data is protected, their choices respected, and their freedoms intact.
