Following the wave of announcements at Consensus Hong Kong surrounding Midnight mainnet, the network is moving rapidly toward mainnet launch in March.

To ensure stability during the Kūkolu phase of the roadmap, Midnight mainnet will expand to encompass distinct federated node operators who will collectively operate the protocol under explicit rules for participation and coordination.

Building on the initial list of partners including Google Cloud, Blockdaemon, Shielded Technologies, and AlphaTON, the Midnight Foundation is now introducing three additional industry leaders that will be operating federated nodes.

Industry leaders operating federated nodes

By bringing in global leaders from telecommunications, fintech, and global payments, the Midnight Foundation will ensure that federated node infrastructure is managed by operators with a proven track record of handling high-volume, mission-critical data. This diverse group of operators provides the institutional-grade security and technical depth required to maintain network integrity as Midnight scales toward its mainnet launch.

Pairpoint by Vodafone

Pairpoint is a strategic venture between Vodafone and Sumitomo Corporation dedicated to building the Economy of Things (EoT). While the Internet of Things (IoT) connects devices to share data, Pairpoint allows these devices to act as autonomous economic agents.

“Midnight's zero-knowledge architecture is key to providing the trusted IoT device digital identity and authentication required to scale across global networks as we move towards the IoT AI economy.”

David Palmer, Chief Innovation Officer, Pairpoint

eToro

The NASDAQ-listed investment platform eToro serves over 35 million users worldwide. Following its recent listing of the NIGHT token, eToro’s participation as a federated node operator signals institutional confidence in Midnight’s privacy-enhancing infrastructure. As a globally regulated fintech, eToro brings a high standard of compliance and expertise to the network.

“We were excited to learn about Midnight’s novel approach to programmable data protection and selective disclosure, designed to balance user confidentiality with regulatory compliance. We believe technologies enabling granular control over data visibility will be foundational to the next generation of blockchain infrastructure. Midnight’s architecture for confidential smart contracts with built-in verifiability aligns with our long-term view that, over time, all asset classes will increasingly move on-chain, requiring infrastructure that can support global-scale markets with robust security and compliance by design.”

— Omri Ross, Chief Blockchain Officer at eToro.

MoneyGram

MoneyGram, a leader in cross-border digital P2P payments, operates in over 200 countries and territories. In addition to running a node, MoneyGram is collaborating with the Midnight Foundation to explore how established payment networks can modernize onto blockchain rails while maintaining regulatory trust. This focuses on confidential transactions where settlement serves as verifiable proof of compliance without exposing sensitive user data.

“MoneyGram has been delivering real-world crypto solutions for years, focusing on making the benefits of digital finance accessible to the people who actually need them,” “Working with Midnight and running blockchain nodes fits naturally into this strategy, allowing us to help ensure that privacy, compliance and reliability are built in from day one.”

— Luke Tuttle, MoneyGram Chief Product and Technology Officer.

Building real-world privacy

Midnight is engineered for real-world applications that build on privacy, regulatory compliance, and operational reliability. By launching with federated node operators of this caliber, the network will provide the stable and high-performance environment required for a new generation of privacy-enhancing tools.

This infrastructure will empower developers to focus on building with zero-knowledge technology from the inception of mainnet. As the network matures, these trusted node operators provide the necessary stability to bridge the transition toward full, community-driven decentralization as laid out in the roadmap.

The participation of these organizations ensures that Midnight launches with the operational reliability required for enterprise adoption. By utilizing operators that manage large-scale, always-on systems, the network provides a predictable environment for developers.

“When a global payments network, a leading technology company backed by a Fortune 500 telco, and a publicly traded fintech all choose to operate nodes on the same privacy-enhancing blockchain, that tells you where this industry is heading. MoneyGram, Pairpoint, and eToro are here because they recognise that privacy-enhancing architecture is what makes it possible to bring their industries on-chain. This is just the beginning of what this consortium will look like.”

— Fahmi Syed, President of the Midnight Foundation
