Expanding the ecosystem at Consensus Miami
Nightforce leaders worked alongside Midnight Foundation teams and ecosystem partners at Consensus Miami in May.
The enthusiasm and knowledge from Nightforce leaders helped to make the Midnight booth a constant hub of activity at Consensus Miami. Their knowledge of the Midnight ecosystem and enthusiasm for Midnight’s programmable privacy helped to bring in visitors from across the conference.
The outreach expanded well beyond booth conversations as Nightforce leaders joined live podcast discussions. Nightforce leaders discussed how Midnight resolves persistent privacy challenges on public chains. Nightforce leaders Lucas Machiavelli (Argentina) and Rodrigo Alonso (Chile) joined the Midnight team for a discussion in Spanish about regional adoption opportunities, pointing to the high demand for secure stablecoins throughout Latin America.
In addition to connecting with the community online and in person, Nightforce members act as a continuous feedback and connection loop with the broader community. The ambassadors share their understanding of their local and online communities to support the Midnight Foundation’s mission to grow the Midnight network.
Attendance at major industry events equips Nightforce leaders to drive growth in their home regions. The connections made at Consensus Miami prepared ambassadors to organize independent local meetups. This localized approach sustains community expansion long after the conference events end.
Expanding international reach
The Nightforce community generates incredible momentum globally, with approximately 2,000 active ambassadors operating across 130 countries. The Asia-Pacific region forms the largest segment, representing roughly 38% of the participant base, followed closely by a massive 30% from Africa.
High volunteer engagement in Nigeria, Indonesia, India, and the United States has helped to drive this rapid expansion of the Nightforce.
This international diversity across countries, languages and cultures is ideal for expanding the Midnight community all around the world. The high engagement from emerging markets is another strength since these are key markets for blockchain adoption.
This global footprint demonstrates incredible international expansion over a remarkably short timeline. In 2024, community members were primarily within Europe and North America. By 2025, research from the Midnight community survey found rapid year-on-year global community growth in every region, featuring the highest growth in community participation throughout the Asia-Pacific region and Africa.
Nightforce leaders translate global reach into active local events across diverse regions. During May and June of this year, organizers hosted regional meetups in Munich, Athens, and Türkiye. Further events launched the first official community sessions in Nairobi and Karachi.
Pathways to leadership
So, what is the pathway to move from an active community member to a Nightforce ambassador, and eventually to a Nightforce leader?
The journey begins with an application to join the Nightforce. New recruits start on the Midnight Zealy questboard, where they complete specific tasks to build and demonstrate a solid understanding of Midnight’s technology.
Advancement from an ambassador role to becoming a Nightforce leader is based on a proactive approach, great attitude toward engaging with the community and consistent activity. Standout ambassadors regularly participate in community channels, assist newcomers, and share accurate and helpful information about Midnight and the broader ecosystem. These engaged volunteers take the initiative to deeply understand the network and excel at sharing knowledge.
The most collaborative and effective ambassadors are invited by the Midnight Foundation to officially become Nightforce leaders. Top contributors earn these positions through their proven ability to support the ecosystem and generate tangible momentum. Once selected, leaders apply their specific talents within one of three specialized roles.
Three specialized leadership roles
The program divides leadership into three distinct contribution streams based on Nightforce leaders’ skills and unique contributions:
- Regional leaders: These advocates manage specific geographic territories to expand physical outreach. They coordinate local meetups, expand local Midnight communities, and establish local activities based on clear and measurable goals for ecosystem expansion.
- Creators: Operating across digital channels, these leaders manage online content strategies. They act as technical communicators who produce educational videos, write tutorials, and manage awareness campaigns. Creators use structured budgets to acquire production equipment and scale their audience reach.
- Discord leaders: These volunteers serve as platform moderators who manage Discord channels. They welcome new recruits, answer technical questions, and maintain an organized, respectful and constructive environment for all community members.
