Mini DApp Virtual Hackathon

The Mini DApp Hackathon invites you to build small, powerful applications that highlight a single feature or use case of the Midnight protocol. Mini DApps with maximum impact!

Hackathon Overview

đŸ› ïž We’ve heard your feedback: building fully-fledged applications in a short timeframe can be overwhelming. That’s why this hackathon focuses on polished, lightweight prototypes: just one creative, well-executed slice of a DApp.

Think:

  • A beautifully designed UI showcasing how a ZK circuit hides a player’s position in a game
  • A confidential job board leveraging private state management
  • A minimalist voting app using anonymous attestations

🎼 We’re leaning into fun. This hackathon is your chance to explore the playful side of privacy. We’re looking for submissions that are bold, whimsical, and a little unexpected. Maybe it’s a beautifully designed UI that demonstrates how a ZK circuit hides a player’s position. Or a confidential job board that spotlights Midnight’s private state features. Whether it’s a zero-knowledge game mechanic, a novel identity tool, or a delightfully minimal app that does one thing exceptionally well, make it intentional, clear, and user-centric.

Creativity is the feature. Technical implementation is the foundation.

⏳ With a two-month timeline, builders will have more time to:

  • Think deeply about their idea
  • Polish a usable, compelling MVP
  • Engage with others and refine based on feedback

The goal? Not complexity. Not feature sprawl. But clarity, creativity, and focused execution.

So bring us your wild ideas. Your mini masterpieces. Your single-feature apps that feel like magic. Let’s reimagine what blockchain applications can be, together.
